The coop is designed by Winky and built by Daddy with the help from Winky.

Winky had specified the dimensions and features based on these requirements:

• Winky needs to be able to stand up tall inside the “Run” so she can feed and play with the chickens.  This, according to her, was the most important feature.
• The “Coop” should be big enough to fit 3 grown up chickens comfortably.  It should have a hinged door on the side so Winky can easily access the inside when she needs to.
• A “Ramp” to connect the coop and the run so chickens can come down and go back up easily.  This was a great feature but we learned that once the chickens are grown, they can actually fly down and up from the coop to the run.
• The “Nesting” box should consist of two compartments.  Winky wanted it that way so the hens would have their own nesting space.  But as it turned out, the chickens preferred sharing the same nesting box.
• The “Nesting” box would have a hinged door on top so Winky can pick up the eggs easily.
• The ONLY specification from Daddy, the “Shingles”.
