The incubator was built by Daddy with a plastic container, a light switch, a 100W light bulb and some duct tape.  A recycled frozen food plastic box and some sponges are used to create humidity in the incubator.  A dual thermometre and humidity metre was placed in the incubator to monitor environmental settings.

The light switch dimmer is built by taping the unit on top of the incubator.  We the dimmer we are able to adjust light bulb intensity to control the temperature.  Temperature is controlled to be within 1-2C plus or minus of 38degC.

 

For the first 5 Days, we had to turn the dial to the highest setting in order to keep the temperature at 38degC.  So Daddy decided to add cardboard lined with aluminum foil to keep it warm.  The reflection feature with the linings turned out to work really well.  We are now able to keep the light bulb dial to half of its original setting.
